A Perfect Word for Arizona

From that great educator, comic strips, comes a perfect word to use during our desert summers.  “Petrichor” is the smell of rain on dry earth.  When I looked up this word in both a print and on-line dictionary, it wasn’t there, leaving me to think that the comics were aptly named.  However, I found it on the web in a Wordsmith site, as well as the paragon of all knowledge, Wikipedia.  Hopefully, this weekend we will once again experience petrichor.
