Tucson Festival of Books

Just when we authors mourn the passing of the printed word, more than 100,000 folks packed the campus of the University of Arizona for a two-day event that rivals the “big boys” of literary festivals. What thrilled me the most was the abundance of children skipping along towards the youth section, excited to be there. Writers, readers and all residents of southern Arizona owe a debt of gratitude to the Viner family and all the other tireless contributors of time, money and energy to make this event the success it is…in only four years!
